On the off chance that you don’t believe that we’re over applying N in general in row crop production, let this sink in… if we apply 200 lbs in a corn on corn scenario, then roughly 40-60 lbs of that N will be available to the following season’s corn crop as a “slow release” as it breaks down from the previous year’s residue. And everyone gets hung up on the “N credit” from soybeans. 🙈
