chlorophyll is the most crucial photosynthetic pigment we manage. Chlorophyll not only captures light energy from the sun but also participates in the “electron transfer chain”, a molecular pathway through which photons (from the sunlight) are converted into electron and on down to the physical plant. The conversion of radiant energy into sugars, starches, proteins and fiber is fabulous. @Blake Matthews and I have worked hard this year to make the most of the radiant energy we are blessed with in southern idaho. We finally peaked in chlorophyll at the perfect time for tuber bulking. Excited to see what comes of this Russet Burbank crop.
