We just got a 4 inch rain that ruined probably 10% of the crop in our area. We were extremely dry in tight clay soils. So did we actually get 4 inches of rain into the soil or did we get an inch with 3 inches of runoff. I have been hearing a lot of talk about soil moisture probes being used on farms, if you are using them my question is how and what types of decisions are you making based off the data on dryland acres. My second question… is an inch of water really an inch of water. Let’s discuss!
