Here’s another great example of quality separation of the same genetic pedigree. This test was planted in Grundy County Iowa on May 19th with soil temps well above 75 degrees at 2.5 inch depth. Conditions were than followed by above average temps. The product on the right displays a 57% cold germ standard as the product on the left shows 92% cold germ. Clearly, cold germ should not have been a factor with these conditions. It’s the same exact hybrid, do they look the same? Would it be fair to spend the same amount on each of these inputs even though they technically are the same genetic product?
