Phantom yield loss in soybeans? Great discussion a couple weeks ago here on Agronomy 365 about phantom yield loss in corn but I’ve never seen any data on beans. Since each pod matures at different times as seen in this picture, what is the yield loss in the 90% of this plant due to rain, dew, insects, etc while we wait for the last 10% of the pods to mature? Anybody seen any research data? I have to wonder if it’s a greater loss in beans than corn.
